Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog where I share my experiences and learnings at the National Learning Service (SENA). Throughout this journey, I have explored fascinating topics related to family, tour guiding, script creation, classroom dynamics, cultural celebrations and much more. Here, I will also reflect on critical thinking, media literacy, and the role of the media as a facilitator.



Entry 1: The Importance of the Family in Our Learning Process


The family is the pillar of our life. From a young age, we are molded by the experiences and teachings we receive in our family nucleus. I remember the afternoons when my mother would spend time with me doing my homework and her phrase “homework first, play later”. That activity not only strengthened our bond, but also fostered my love of reading and writing.

Today, families have evolved. With remote work and new social dynamics, it is essential to find a balance between work life and family time. How do we meet this challenge? Open communication and planning activities together are key.

Visiting places around tourism is another of my passions. Each tour offers me a new perspective and the opportunity to practice guiding techniques and of course the language. The cultural immersion is invaluable.

In this entry, I will narrate my experiences in tour guiding. Through sightseeing tours, I have learned to tell stories about the history and culture of our region. I will share a script I developed for a guided tour, as well as some of the methods I used to make the tour more interactive and educational.

Entry 3: Language Week Celebration


   

Language Week was an enriching experience. In this entry, I will detail the activities we did, including discussions, readings, and oral presentations. I will reflect on how these activities improved my English proficiency and appreciation for languages.



Entry 4: Critical Thinking and Media Literacy


Critical thinking and media literacy are essential in a world full of information. In this post, I will discuss how I learned to analyze and evaluate information sources. I will share examples of activities we did in class, where we tested our critical thinking skills by analyzing news and social media.




Entry 5: Classroom Dynamics: Active Learning

Here I will share some of the classroom dynamics that I enjoyed the most. These activities not only encouraged participation, but also enhanced our communication skills. I will document how each dynamic contributed to our learning and cohesion as a group.
